Designers may appreciate the artful aspects of their trade. Developers may find the challenge of coding and scripting satisfying. For me, I was always fascinated with the world of marketing and advertising and the challenge of getting a message firmly into the mind through ideas and communication. Design and development have given me the tools to make ideas become reality.
My very first experience with design was back in High School learning desktop publishing with a good ol' Macintosh Classic machine and PageMaker. I received my very first home computer during this time and became familiar with website production and HTML coding. While strictly a hobby at the time, little did I know how much it would impact my future.
After spending over five years as a graphic designer in print, I officially entered the world of web. I have been involved with hundreds of websites and have handled the entire process of design all the way through the end to development and launch.
Since college, it had always been my dream to work for an advertising agency, and I have worked for many agencies in the downtown St. Louis area in a variety of roles, such as design / development, wire framing, digital strategy and research.
